Park Overview
SeaWorld Orlando sits on International Drive, south of the convention center and a short drive from both Universal Orlando and Walt Disney World. It opened in 1973 and splits its day between animal habitats, stadium presentations, and a coaster lineup that has grown fast: Mako, Kraken, Manta, Ice Breaker, Pipeline: The Surf Coaster, Penguin Trek, and Super Grover's Box Car Derby. Expedition Odyssey opened in 2025 as a suspended flying ride over an Arctic landscape, and SEAQuest: Legends of the Deep is listed as coming soon.
The mix matters for accessible planning. Half the park is walk-through habitats, aquariums, and seated presentations that require no transfer and no height check, which gives you natural rest points between coasters. That is a real advantage over a pure thrill park.

Note: Aquatica and Discovery Cove are separate parks with separate admission. A SeaWorld Orlando ticket does not include them unless your pass says so.
Best time to visit: Weekdays outside school holidays. Central Florida afternoons bring heat and thunderstorms, so front-load the outdoor coasters and save aquariums for the middle of the day.

Day Tickets and Passes
Single-day tickets are cheaper bought online in advance than at the gate, and SeaWorld runs frequent multi-park bundles with Aquatica and Busch Gardens Tampa. If you are visiting Orlando more than once in a year, an annual pass often costs about the same as two day tickets. Compare current options on the park website before you buy.
Quick Queue (Not an Accessibility Product)
Quick Queue is the park's paid line-skip upgrade. It is not a disability accommodation and it is not required to use the Ride Accessibility Program. The two do overlap in one practical way: at several rides, guests enrolled in the accessibility program are routed to the Quick Queue entrance to board. That is a boarding route, not a purchase requirement.
Accessibility: The Ride Accessibility Program
SeaWorld Orlando's accommodation is the Ride Accessibility Program, usually shortened to RAP. You enroll in person at Guest Services, just inside the park entrance, and you receive a sheet listing the rides and attractions you can ride. From there you get Special Access, which places you in a virtual queue instead of the physical line.
The official guide describes enrollment as an in-park step at Guest Services and does not list a third-party accessibility card as a prerequisite. That makes SeaWorld noticeably less advance work than the Orlando parks that route disability access through an IBCCES card application.

Boarding times are based on the current estimated wait. The enrolled guest must ride, up to five additional guests may come along, and you may only hold one active wait time at a time.
Wheelchair & ECV Rental
Standard wheelchairs and Electric Convenience Vehicles are rented inside the park, to the right of Guest Services, subject to availability. Reservations can be made online in advance through the park's upgrades page, which is worth doing because ECVs run out on busy days. Complimentary rollators without seats are also available. Every coaster requires a transfer out of your device into the ride vehicle, so plan for where the device waits while you ride.
Parking
- Paid on-site parking with accessible spaces near the entrance. A valid disabled parking placard is required for accessible spaces.
- Preferred parking is sold at a higher rate and shortens the walk, which can be worth it if you are managing fatigue and not using a rented device.
- The lot is flat and paved, and the walk to the turnstiles is manageable for most mobility devices.

A day here is mostly outdoors in Florida humidity, with several rides that will soak you.

- Noise-canceling headphones: stadium presentations and the coaster plazas get loud, which matters for sensory-sensitive guests.
- Waterproof pouch: Journey to Atlantis and Infinity Falls will soak you, and Infinity Falls has no dry seats.
- Cooling towel and water: Florida humidity is the real challenge, and shade is limited around the coaster plazas.
- Sunscreen and a hat: most queue and walkway space is uncovered.
