How Accessible Boarding Works Here
Hersheypark prints your entrance on your Boarding Pass, and it is not the same at every ride. Broadly, guests who cannot walk to the platform are sent through the ride exit or a dedicated elevator, and ambulatory guests in the Attraction Accessibility Program enter through the Fast Track entrance at the front of the attraction. Every coaster requires a transfer out of a wheelchair or ECV into the ride vehicle, and park employees are not permitted to lift or transfer anyone. Heights use the park's candy categories: Hershey's Miniatures under 36 inches, Hershey's Kisses 36 to 42 inches, Reese's 42 to 48 inches, Hershey's 48 to 54 inches, Twizzlers 54 to 60 inches, and Jolly Rancher over 60 inches. Get measured at any Guest Services location so you know your category before you plan the day.
The Major Coasters
1. Candymonium
The park's tallest and fastest coaster: a steel hyper standing 210 feet with several airtime hills, high banked turns, and speeds of 76 miles per hour. Height category Twizzlers, 54 inches and up. Transfer in and out of the car required. Prosthetic devices must be removed before riding, and casts or hard braces are not permitted. Riders of exceptional height or weight may not be accommodated, and there is a test seat at the entrance. Guests with certain amputations may be permitted to ride using a full body harness if they meet the physical requirements, which is worth raising at Accessibility Services rather than at the ride. 2. Skyrush
Two hundred feet tall, 75 miles per hour, four high speed banked turns and five airtime hills. The park's own guide calls it "a very aggressive ride," and the lap-bar restraint is the reason it has a reputation among coaster fans. Height category Twizzlers, 54 inches and up. Riders taller than 6 feet 5 inches may not be accommodated. Prosthetic legs must be removed, and casts or hard braces are not permitted. Test seat at the entrance. 3. Wildcat's Revenge
A wood and steel hybrid opened in 2023 with a 140 foot lift hill, an 82 degree drop, 62 miles per hour, four inversions including what the park calls the world's largest underflip, and a 2 minute 36 second ride. Height category Hershey's, 48 inches and up, which makes it the most intense ride available to a rider in that category. The rider requirements are the strictest in the park: two natural legs including feet and one natural arm with a functional hand, and no prosthetic devices of any kind. Hard casts or braces that block full mobility of the shoulder, elbow, knees, or hips are not permitted. Test seat at the entrance. 4. Storm Runner
A launched steel coaster reaching a maximum height of 150 feet at 72 miles per hour, with inversions and a fast, short layout. Height category Twizzlers, 54 inches and up. A rider wearing one prosthetic leg must remove it or carry manufacturer documentation that the limb withstands forces up to 5 Gs. Riders of exceptional size may not be accommodated, and there is a test seat. Accessible entrance: elevator through the ride exit, then see the attendant on the upper platform; Fast Track entrance for ambulatory riders. Uses magnetic fields.
5. Great Bear
An inverted steel coaster with a 125 foot first drop that loops and twists at 61 miles per hour, riding with your feet dangling. Height category Twizzlers, 54 inches and up. Riders with prosthetic legs must remove them. Casts and hard braces are not permitted. Riders of exceptional size may not be accommodated, and there is a test seat. 6. Fahrenheit
A vertical lift coaster that climbs 121 feet and drops at 97 degrees, past vertical, with inversions after the drop. Height category Twizzlers, 54 inches and up. A rider with one prosthetic leg must remove it or carry the 5 G manufacturer documentation. Riders of exceptional size may not be accommodated. Test seat at the entrance. 7. Jolly Rancher Remix
A 105 foot steel shuttle coaster that runs forward and backward through six loops at 55 miles per hour, with over-the-shoulder restraints. Height category Hershey's, 48 inches and up. Guests taller than 6 feet 8 inches are not permitted to ride and upper prostheses are not permitted. Certain hard braces and casts may also block riding. 8. Lightning Racer
A dueling wooden coaster with a 90 foot drop and speeds above 50 miles per hour, with two trains racing side by side. Height category Hershey's, 48 inches and up. Riders of exceptional size may not be accommodated. Accessible entrance: ride exit with the attendant's permission for non-ambulatory riders, Fast Track entrance for ambulatory riders.
9. Comet
The 1946 wooden classic, with a 96 foot drop and a second 60 foot drop reaching 50 miles per hour. Height category Reese's, 42 inches and up, which makes it the first big coaster for a lot of Hersheypark families. Guests with hard casts or braces that do not allow full mobility of the shoulder, elbow, knees, or hips are not permitted. Riders of exceptional size may not be accommodated. 10. sooperdooperLooper
The 1977 steel looper: an 81 foot drop, a single vertical loop, two tight spirals, and 45 miles per hour. Height category Reese's, 42 inches and up. Casts and hard braces are not permitted. Riders of exceptional size may not be accommodated. Accessible entrance: elevator for non-ambulatory riders, Fast Track entrance for ambulatory riders. Uses magnetic fields.
11. Laff Trakk
An indoor, dark, glow-in-the-dark spinning coaster with independently rotating cars. Height category Reese's, 42 inches and up, and riders under five years old may not ride. Riders must have two naturally occurring arms and hands. Riders taller than 6 feet 4 inches may not be accommodated, and the car has a 705 pound maximum. The ride uses strobe and chasing lighting effects, so guests with conditions triggered by those should skip it. Test seat at the entrance. Accessible entrance: Fast Track entrance, and the queue itself is accessible for mobility devices, which is unusual here. Uses magnetic fields.
12. Trailblazer
A mild steel mine-train-style coaster with one hill, two tight spirals, a 52 foot drop, and a top speed of 30 miles per hour. Height category Hershey's Kisses, 36 inches and up, which makes it one of the two coasters open to the smallest riders. Riders of exceptional size may not be accommodated. Accessible entrance: ride exit via elevator for non-ambulatory riders, Fast Track entrance for ambulatory riders. Uses magnetic fields.
13. Cocoa Cruiser
A family steel coaster with a 12 foot drop and gentle turns. Height category Hershey's Kisses, 36 inches and up. Transfer in and out of the car required. Accessible entrance: ride exit, after checking with the attendant.
14. Wild Mouse
A compact coaster with tight turns, steep hills, and rapid deceleration. The important operational detail is that the cars do not stop at the loading and unloading positions; if you need them stopped for a transfer, tell the operator before you board, because that request is normal and the guide invites it. Riders of exceptional size may not be accommodated. Height requirement is posted at the entrance. Accessible entrance: ride exit for non-ambulatory riders, Fast Track entrance for ambulatory riders.
Big Rides That Are Not Coasters
Hershey Triple Tower
Three drop towers in one attraction: the Hershey's Kisses Tower at 80 feet, the Reese's Tower at 131 feet, and the Hershey's Tower at 189 feet, dropping at up to 45 miles per hour. Height category Hershey's, 48 inches and up. Riders must have one naturally occurring arm with at least three fingers. Guests with casts or hard braces cannot ride. Prostheses must be removed or covered by manufacturer documentation for 5 G forces, and there is a 300 pound per seat limit. Test seat at the entrance. Accessible entrance: Fast Track entrance at the front.
Twizzlers Twisted Gravity
A vertical swing that reaches 135 feet and 68 miles per hour. Height category Hershey's, 48 inches and up. Riders need at least two functioning legs and one fully functioning arm with at least three fingers and the ability to grip, and any leg amputation must be at or below the knee. Prostheses must be removed or documented for 5 G forces. Guests with a cervical collar or neck brace, a leg cast, or a full arm cast cannot ride. Casts and hard braces are not permitted. Test seat at the entrance. Accessible entrance: ride exit for non-ambulatory riders, Fast Track entrance for ambulatory riders.
Coal Cracker
A log flume with two lifts and one drop. This one is not accessible to riders using wheelchairs at the platform: the guide states riders must use a stairway to reach the boat, then step down into it and straddle a bench seat while holding the side handrails. Accessible entrance: ride exit staircase, with attendant assistance.
Breakers Edge Water Coaster
A Boardwalk water coaster with drops and tight turns. Riders must have two naturally occurring arms and hands, and the combined weight in a raft must fall between 100 and 700 pounds, with scales at the entrance and station. Rafts do not stop at loading and unloading unless you ask the operator to stop them. Accessible entrance: ride exit or elevator for non-ambulatory riders, Fast Track entrance at the front for ambulatory riders. Uses magnetic fields.
Low-Stimulation Rides Worth Planning Around
- Monorail: an elevated, seated, narrated loop over the park, ZooAmerica, and the town of Hershey. Service animals are permitted. Board through the standard exit ramp and see the attendant at the top.
- Kissing Tower: a rotating cabin that rises to 250 feet, with Hershey's Kisses shaped windows. Transfer onto a bench seat. Enter through the ride exit with the attendant's permission.
- Carrousel: 66 horses and two chariots. One chariot is accessible and holds one wheelchair or mobility device, and service animals ride in the chariots.
- Dry Gulch Railroad: two small steam trains; the rear car of one train is wheelchair accessible and service animals are permitted.
- ZooAmerica: included in admission, entered from the bridge inside the park. Automatic doors at every building entrance and ramped walkways to the exhibits.

- Every coaster requires a transfer. No coaster here accommodates a rider who stays in a wheelchair.
- Test seats: Candymonium, Fahrenheit, Great Bear, Hershey Triple Tower, Laff Trakk, Skyrush, Storm Runner, Twizzlers Twisted Gravity, Wildcat's Revenge. Use them before you spend a boarding-time window.
- Prosthetics removed: Candymonium, Skyrush, Great Bear, The Claw. Wildcat's Revenge permits none at all.
- No casts or hard braces: Candymonium, Great Bear, Hershey Triple Tower, Skyrush, sooperdooperLooper, Twizzlers Twisted Gravity.

- Oxygen tanks are permitted only on Carrousel chariots, Dry Gulch Railroad, the Ferris Wheel, Kissing Tower, the Monorail, and Twin Turnpike Classic Cars.
- Loose articles: hand-held items are not permitted on the coasters. Only what fastens into a zipping or velcro cargo pocket, a zipped waist pack, or a zipping jacket pocket rides with you.
