Hotels Near Disneyland Resort

On-property Disney hotels, Good Neighbor hotels, and Harbor Boulevard options, with accessibility notes for each.

⚠️ Policies change. Always verify accessibility accommodations directly with each property before booking. Hotel rates and availability change frequently.

Why Your Hotel Choice Matters for Accessible Visits

For families using DAS or mobility equipment, the hotel decision carries more weight than it does for a typical park visit. A midday break is one of the most effective strategies for managing a long day at Disneyland, particularly for visitors with sensory sensitivities, chronic pain, or children who need a reset before the evening hours. On-property hotels make that break possible without transportation logistics. Off-property options within easy walking distance on Harbor Boulevard come close.

The other factor: if you're renting an ECV from a third-party delivery service (ScooterBug, Scootaround), delivery requires a hotel address. On-property Disney hotels and nearby hotels both work for delivery.

On-Property: Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa

The Grand Californian is the closest possible option to both parks. The hotel connects directly to Disney California Adventure through its own gate and to Downtown Disney via a walking path. You can walk from your room to the DCA entrance in under five minutes.

Accessibility: ADA-accessible rooms with roll-in showers, lowered fixtures, visual and audio alarms, and accessible pool areas. The resort pool has a lift. Accessible rooms can be requested at booking and confirmed by calling the hotel directly.

Practical note for DAS families: The direct DCA gate entry is a real convenience. You bypass the Esplanade tram and main entrance completely for California Adventure visits. For sensory-sensitive visitors, starting the day through a quieter side entrance rather than the full Esplanade experience can set a better tone.

Rate range: Approximately $400 to $800+ per night depending on season. Room categories vary significantly in size and amenity. Rates are highest during summer and holidays.

On-Property: Disneyland Hotel

The Disneyland Hotel is a 5-minute walk from the main Disneyland Park entrance via a covered walkway through Downtown Disney. No transportation needed.

Accessibility: Full ADA-accessible room options, including roll-in showers. The pool area has an accessible lift. The walking path to the park is paved and flat.

Practical note: The walk from the Disneyland Hotel to the park entrance is predictable, covered in sections, and manageable for most mobility situations. A midday break back to the hotel and return takes roughly 20 minutes round trip with no transit wait.

Rate range: Approximately $300 to $600 per night depending on season and room type.

On-Property: Pixar Place Hotel

Pixar Place Hotel is the most budget-friendly of the three on-property Disney hotels. It is connected to Disney California Adventure's PCH Grill and sits adjacent to Downtown Disney. A 5 to 7 minute walk from the Esplanade.

Accessibility: ADA-accessible rooms available. Accessible pool lift. Call the hotel directly to confirm roll-in shower availability for your stay dates.

Rate range: Approximately $200 to $400 per night. Frequently the entry point for on-property stays.

Off-Property: Good Neighbor Hotels

Disney designates select nearby hotels as "Good Neighbor Hotels." These properties meet Disney's standards for proximity and service but are not owned by Disney. Rates are typically lower than on-property. Transportation to the park is the main variable: some within a 10-minute walk, others require a rideshare or complimentary shuttle.

Marriott Anaheim

Located approximately 10 minutes on foot or a short rideshare from the park entrance. ADA rooms available, typically including roll-in shower options. Reliable choice for families who want full ADA accessibility without Disney hotel pricing. The walk to the Esplanade is flat and manageable on Harbor Boulevard sidewalks.

Rate range: Approximately $150 to $250 per night.

Harbor Boulevard Options

Dozens of hotels line Harbor Boulevard within a 10 to 15 minute walk of the Disneyland main gate. Quality ranges widely. When booking off-property on Harbor, look specifically for: confirmed ADA room type (roll-in vs. grab bar), distance to park gate (under 0.5 miles makes a midday break practical), and policy on third-party mobility device delivery. Most full-service hotels in the area accommodate ScooterBug and Scootaround deliveries.

What to Request When Booking

Regardless of property, call to confirm after booking online. Key questions:

  • Is a roll-in shower available, or only a tub with grab bars? These are different rooms, confirm which is available for your dates.
  • What is the accessible parking situation? On-property Disney hotels charge for parking. Off-property varies.
  • Does the hotel accept third-party mobility equipment delivery? If you're using ScooterBug or Scootaround, confirm they can deliver to this specific property.
  • What is the distance and route from the hotel to the Esplanade? Ask for the walking time on flat terrain.

Third-Party Mobility Equipment Delivery

If you need an ECV and don't want to rely on in-park availability (ECVs sell out on busy days), these companies deliver to Anaheim hotels:

  • ScooterBug: Official Disneyland Resort partner. Delivers to all three Disney-owned hotels and most nearby properties. Length-of-stay rentals, pre-bookable.
  • Scootaround: Wide Anaheim coverage, wide equipment range.
  • One Stop Mobility: Anaheim delivery, includes beach cruiser-style options for wider resort exploration.

Book in advance, especially for summer visits. Inventory is not unlimited.
